Obama: "Outsourcing Will Continue"

The main problem with this country today is that it stopped working.

America outsourced its industries; American jobs are routinely performed by foreign labor – either in this country or abroad. The net result is high unemployment, lack of career opportunities, and, ultimately, destruction of American middle class – the pillar of American democracy and the main contributor to federal and state tax revenues.

India is the number one player in this outsourcing game. It has government agencies specifically designated to the efforts to move jobs to India or employ Indians abroad.

A picture is worth a thousand words

I took this picture at one of New Jersey 2009 tea party:

Let the games begin!!!

Lou Dobbs - Mr. Independent

As everyone knows, Lou Dobbs has resigned from CNN. There are plenty of rumors about his intentions, but, as it is very clear from his statement, he is considering to go into politics.

The question is what kind of office will Mr. Independent run for?

There will be congressional elections in 2010, but I doubt that a person of Mr. Dobbs statue will want to be a mere Congressman.

All candidates are equal... but some more equal than others

Here is a copy of NJ ballot for 2010 local elections:

Report from street fairs

As I had written before, we were registered to participate at two street fairs. But, because of bad weather, the fair in Westfield was canceled.

This report is about street fair in Summit.

When I write "we" I mean, of course, myself.

I had spent about 7 hours under a tent and a sign explaining what the Great Task organizational is about and collecting signatures for the petition in support of Fair Elections Now act.

Watch and Listen

Over the weekend there were two interesting programs - Bill Moyers Journal with former IMF chief economist Simon Johnson and US Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) - here

... and This American Life episode about healthcare - a view from prospective of patients, doctors and insurance industry - More Is Less

CNN - Time ripe for third party?

The answer is YES!!!

CommonDreams.org

I can't say that I agree with a lot of stuff posted on CommonDreams.org, but the song is catchy:

Accountability Series: Why is nobody punished for fraud???

I am a big fan of This American Life. Last weekend they ran Return To The Giant Pool of Money. The original The Giant Pool of Money ran a few months ago and won many awards, as National Public Radio did a wonderful job explaining the mechanics of the economic collapse we all went through a year ago.

The storm is brewing ...

... in the city near you.
