Health care cost

The Americans are paying the highest amount per capita for their health care. We pay more than double of the average for the the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The quality of health care in the United States is not any better than in the developed countries - it is just more expensive. For example, medicine here costs significantly more than in Canada or Mexico. It is the same medicine, produced by the same pharmaceutical company. Yet, it costs here more than double than in those counties.

This high cost of health care is also rising at the rate of much higher than the rate of inflation.
